Peter Benjamin Ruiz

Peter Benjmain Ruiz is starting his first year (woohoo!!!) as the associate choir director at Judson High School and Woodlake Hills Middle School, as well as his first full year of teaching. Prior to his arrival at Judson, Ruiz taught at his alma mater, North Shore Senior High School, in Houston, Texas.

Fun fact: While Ruiz was a student at NSSH, Mrs. James was teaching at North Shore Middle School!

Ruiz received his undergraduate training from Baylor University where he earned a Bachelor in Music in Vocal Performance and is earning his full teaching certification from Texas Teachers of Tomorrow.  His principal teachers include Drs. Lynne Gackle, Stephen Gusukuma, Brian Scmidt, and Kimberly Monzon.

While at Baylor, he was involved in the Concert Choir, A Cappella Choir, and Baylor Opera Theater. In addition, Ruiz has performed operas with the Univeristy of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music and the Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Houston.

In his free time, Ruiz enjoys reading fantasy books, watching anime and dramas, and playing videogames.
