In Texas, state law requires all students to show they are college ready before they can enroll in entry-level college courses. College readiness is measured through the Texas Success Initiative (TSI), which uses benchmark scores on the TSIA2, SAT, or ACT to determine whether you're prepared for college-level reading, writing, and math.

To be considered college ready, you must meet the required benchmark in each subject area - both English Language Arts & Reading (ELAR) and Mathematics - using one of the approved tests.
