I graduated from Judson High School in 1993 and attended San Antonio College until 1995. I then transferred to Tarleton State University, graduating in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education, Exercise & Sports Studies, a minor / teaching field in History, and course work & certifications in Computer Information Systems. During college, I worked as a network engineer and technician for a local telecommunications company and later for the Stephenville ISD Technology division.
In 2001, I applied for a hall monitor position at Judson High school. However, during the interview process, the discovery of my college degree, course work, and work experience allowed the principal to offer me a teaching position within the Career and Technology Department. I have been teaching for twenty-two years now.
