Meet the Teacher

Mrs. Jennifer Ruth

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year at Judson High School. I look forward to meeting all of you and having a wonderful year. 

A bit about myself. I am a 1992 graduate of James Madison High School and a 1997 graduate of Our Lady of the Lake University here in San Antonio where I received a Bachelor degree in Education with a minor in Special Education. More recently, I also became ELA certified. My first three years of teaching were at Leal Middle School in the Harlendale ISD where I taught 6th-8th Special Education Reading and Social Studies. My next three years were at Del Valle Junior High up in Austin where I taught 7th grade English and coached Girls Track, Volleyball, and Basketball for a year. I returned to San Antonio in 2003 and began teaching here at Judson High School. I've managed to teach all four levels of English in my time here. This year, I am facilitating English II classes. This will be my 19th year here at Judson High School and 25th year of teaching total. I am also the adult sponsor of the Japanese Culture and Anime Club that is held Monday afternoons in room H230.

Tuesday - Friday mornings: 8:00 - 8:30 am 

Tuesday and Thursday afternoons 4:45 - 5:45 pm

Wednesday and Friday afternoons by appointment.
