Maria M. Sanchez-Ortiz
Hi. My name is Maria M. Sanchez-Ortiz, and I have been teaching secondary math for more than thirty years. I was born in Puerto Rico many, many years ago, and I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education specializing in Math. I am certified to teach Math 4-12. I live with my husband of 29 years in North East San Antonio.
I look forward to assisting my students in exploring and learning Algebra II in a way that is meaningful to them. Math is all around us, and even though not all of us need all the math we learn in school in our chosen careers, we need to have an appreciation for the power of math to understand the world around us, as well as making possible all the technological and scientific advances we enjoy every day.
