Making history, Judson ISD combined indoor percussion features students from both Judson High School and Veterans Memorial High School, coming together to form one drumline group. This group also includes a combined staff to teach and lead the students.
The group competed at a TCGC competition Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026 at Dripping Springs High School, and left the competition with a first place win and a score of 72.2.
“As we were getting ready for our first competition, it was pretty cool to see the whole group come together and to do our jobs individually to all reach a common goal, which was to win. While I was preforming I had tunnel vision, but I also felt like we had a pretty good chance at winning since our show went so well that day,” Junior Ezra Urdiales expressed. “After winning our first competition, I felt motivated by the fact that maybe we could actually do something with this group and maybe win at state or other competitions later this year.”
