On January 28th, our cadet corps had our Change of Command ceremony. It was an important military event for our corps as one Commander transferred leadership and responsibility to another. All cadets were in service dress, and the room looked sharp from start to finish. We stood at attention several times throughout the ceremony, the National Anthem, played by C/Col Naomi Williams and C/Amn Laylah Flores, pledges recited, and when saluting our departing and new Corps Commanders (i.e., C/Col Erick Kahler and C/Col Naomi Williams). Overall, the ceremony was very meaningful and memorable, and it reminded us why leadership, respect, and teamwork matter in our JROTC program.
