The ACT can be used by colleges and universities to evaluate applicants for admission and to help determine appropriate course placement.

For the 26-27 school year, Judson ISD is making the ACT exam OPTIONAL** for senior students. If a student chooses to take the test, it will only be offered once, on Oct. 14th, 2026 and will be free of charge.

**a student will be required to take the ACT if they are identified as an accelerated tester (a student who took Biology in 8th grade)
